**UNIQLO appoints COO to support founder and CEO**
**Tadashi Yanai, founder and CEO of UNIQLO, has appointed Osamu Ikezoe as the company’s new chief operating officer (COO).**
The appointment comes as UNIQLO continues to expand its global footprint, with plans to open new stores in key markets such as China, India, and Southeast Asia.
Ikezoe, who previously served as UNIQLO’s global head of product development, will be responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations and supporting Yanai in his role as CEO.
He will also work closely with UNIQLO’s management team to develop and execute the company’s long-term growth strategy.
In a statement, Yanai said that he was confident that Ikezoe would be a valuable asset to UNIQLO’s leadership team.
