Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have made a bold return to the UK.
On September 5 the Duchess of Sussex gave the keynote speech at the One Young World Summit in Manchester wearing a vibrant red monochrome ensemble by AnotherTomorrow. Per , Markle paired the brand’s Bow Blouse ($540) with its Classic Trousers ($590) in the shade “fire red,” rounding out the look with a pair of crimson Aquazzura heels and gold earrings. Prince Harry wore a classic black suit as he joined his wife at the event for young leaders.
During her speech, Markle recalled joining the organization as a counselor all the way back in 2014. “It’s very nice to be back in the UK, and it’s very nice to be back with all of you at One World,” Meghan said, per , noting that she felt “overwhelmed” her first time around when she was “young, ambitious, advocating for the things I deeply and profoundly believed in.”
“Have any of you today so far had that feeling that pinch-me moment where you just go, ‘How am I here?’” she asked the crowd. “It’s a lot, and at that dinner, there were about 20 to 30 of us counselors, and there I was, the girl from Suits.”
Eight years later Markle has debuted her hit Spotify podcast Archetypes and is married to Prince Harry, with whom she shares two children: three-year-old Archie and one-year-old Lilibet Diana. “One Young World has been an integral part of my life for so many years before I met him, so to meet again here on UK soil with him by my side, makes it all feel full-circle,” Markle said.
Next up, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are off to Germany for the Invictus Games Düsseldorf before returning to London for the WellChild Awards on September 8. According to royals experts, the pair are not expected to interact with Kate Middleton and Prince William before returning home to California.
“It’s gonna have all the markings of a old-fashioned farce with these people trying to avoid each other,” royal biographer Christopher Anderson told . “They don’t wanna see each other because everybody’s worried about the [Duke of Sussex’s upcoming memoir]. Harry’s book is gonna be loaded with, obviously, bombshells.”
Despite any tension, it’s clear the couple is making the most of their short visit.
