Fashion Week isn’t just about the clothes, you know. In the case of Zoë Kravitz at Paris Fashion Week in September, I am at least as intrigued by her wispy micro bangs hair look as I am by her ’fit.
Kravitz showed off her Hepburn bangs—so named for Audrey Hepburn’s iconic fringe—at the Saint Laurent show in Paris on September 26. The style is characterized for its piecey-ness and micro length, recalling the fashionably uneven bangs Hepburn wore in classic movies like Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Kravitz has generally styled her Hepburn bangs with a side part, but this time she wore the fringe artfully pieced apart in the front of her forehead. Hepburn bangs, sometimes referred to as “baby bangs,” have also been seen lately on the likes of Emma Watson, Katie Holmes, and Halle Berry.
For the Paris Fashion Week event, Zoë Kravitz paired her ’60s fringe with another piece once made famous by Hepburn, a white polka-dot little black dress. Kravitz’s LBD also featured some ’80s-inspired ruching, an uneven neckline, and very slightly puffed sleeves with an extra-short hemline. Per People, she was seen leaving the Saint Laurent after-party hand in hand with her boyfriend of two years, Channing Tatum.
