Alessandra Ambrosio certainly brought some Met Gala energy to the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
On May 19, the Brazilian model attended the Cannes screening of Armageddon Time wearing a fascinating couture gown by French designer Stéphane Rolland. While the bottom half of the white gown creates a cloudlike effect, the bodice is meant to appear completely sheer with three crystal-embellished appliqués over her bust and abdomen. Ambrosio paired the piece of wearable art with white opera gloves, a bold necklace, and matching teardrop earrings.
The model’s hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos, leaned into the bridal aesthetic with a sleek updo, leaving out a few face-framing strands. If Amrbosio’s poses were anything to go by, she was very into the dramatic fashion moment.
Alessandra Ambrosio wasn’t the only former Victoria’s Secret Angel delivering drama at Cannes. Jasmine Tookes attended the screening of Armageddon Time—a period drama starring Anne Hathaway, Anthony Hopkins, and Jeremy Strong—wearing an ensemble that was sure to turn heads. The Zuhair Murad semisheer crop top and low-waist skirt are completely covered in sequins and feature a thigh-high slit. Tookes paired the look with silver sandals and diamond earrings, keeping her hair completely slicked back.
However, the most memorable look of them all still belongs to Adriana Lima, who wore a baby-bump-framing cutout gown to the Cannes premiere of Top Gun: Maverick on May 18. Lima shares two daughters, 12-year-old Valentina Lima Jarić and nine-year-old Sienna Lima Jarić, with her ex-husband, Marko Jarić, and is currently expecting her first baby with her boyfriend, film producer Andre Lemmers.
Lima, who walked the red carpet with Lemmers, wore a floor-length long-sleeve black gown by Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing that left only her stomach bare.
Maternity-style queen Rihanna, who just welcomed her first baby with A$AP Rocky, would definitely be proud.
