Jenna Ortega just took a complete one-eighty from Wednesday Addams at the Golden Globes, opting for a sheer nude gown with feminine pleats, artful cutouts, and cascading sleeves. The 20-year-old also debuted a freshly cut copper bob and curtain bangs on the red carpet, which perfectly framed her inky-black cat-eye makeup and neck laden with Tiffany silver and diamond necklaces.
Ortega, who is nominated for best actress in a comedy or musical series, arrived at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills wearing Gucci. On top of her first Golden Globes nomination, the Wednesday and Scream star is also set to present during tonight’s show alongside fellow actors Jennifer Coolidge, Ana de Armas, Salma Hayek, Jennifer Hudson, and more.
Prior to the Globes, Ortega embraced her character’s gothic academia aesthetic on multiple occasions, even debuting a wolf-cut bob in a black Dolce & Gabbana maxidress with a Nevermore Academy–approved oxford collar, cuffs, and oversized black tie. However, the sheer nature of the look would probably earn Wednesday a dress code violation or two from Principal Weems (RIP).

Just last week, Wednesday was renewed for season two after becoming Netflix’s second-most-watched English-language TV series, just behind Stranger Things 4. Ortega’s contribution to the series’ success cannot be understated, especially considering the titular goth teen’s viral dance moves were choreographed by the lead actor herself. Tonight the series is up for best comedy or musical series.
“Over the past few weeks, I have been hunted, haunted, and mimicked millions of times across the internet,” Wednesday said in the season two announcement video. “It’s been pure torture….Thank you.”

“Thanks to everyone who made this upcoming season possible,” Jenna Ortega tweeted on January 6. “This has all been pretty surreal.”
