Officially known as Target Deal Days, the retailer’s annual summer sale is giving this week’s other shopping holiday a run for its money, and if you’re hoping to snag brand-new tech, home decor, and summery clothes on deep discount, you really shouldn’t miss it. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the online sales event, including how it stacks up against Prime Day.
When is Target Deal Days 2022?
Target’s massive, online-only sale runs from July 11 through 13 this year. Of course, it happens to overlap neatly with Amazon Prime Day, which will take place July 12 and 13. Target isn’t the only retailer coming in hot with a rival sale this month: Nordstrom, Walmart, Best Buy, and plenty of other retailers and brands are planning to slash prices to keep up with Amazon. All that competition means more savings for you—especially if you shop around. Call it Black Friday in July.
Unlike Amazon’s Prime members-only markdowns, you don’t need to be a Target Circle member or Target RedCard holder to access sale prices, although it certainly doesn’t hurt to sign up for its free loyalty program. And you can also take advantage of the retailer’s many fulfillment options—including Drive Up, order pickup, and same-day delivery—once you make your purchases. (Just saying, it may be even better than Amazon’s two-day shipping.)
